2010 Lighting for Tomorrow Competition
Lighting for Tomorrow launched its 2010 competition on January 14, 2010 with a focus on lighting control devices and solid state lighting (SSL) fixtures and replacement lamps. For the first time, Lighting for Tomorrow looked at lighting control products including stand-alone, system-based, and whole house devices. The new 2010 lighting controls competition built on the 2009 fluorescent dimming competition by seeking lighting control devices that are compatible with fluorescent or LED technology. The 2010 SSL competition was open to a broad range of residential lighting applications and fixture types and for the first time replacement lamps.
The judging process was conducted in June at the California Lighting Technology Center. The winners will be announced at the American Lighting Association Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, September 20-22, 2010.
2009 Competition Winners
The winners of the 2009 Lighting for Tomorrow competition were announced and awards were presented at the American Lighting Association Annual Conference in Palos Verdes, California on September 15, 2009. The seventh annual Lighting for Tomorrow competition resulted in several unique winners given the many changes made to the 2009 entry categories.
